Honest Merchant
Hey there!
Welcome to my landing page. Here you'll find my collection of projects that relate to FFXIV.
The FFXIV Economy Guide
A possible schema for including realism-based economies in RP
This project is the result of studies on historical economics and presents one possible way these lessons and bits of knowledge can be applied to simulate a more intricate model of Eorzean commerce
-Disclaimer: I am not a professional historian and I have absolutely no qualms with how any person or organization chooses to deal with money in RP, if they do at all. Whatever methods are most enjoyable for the player, whether that is writing commerce into abstraction or digging into the numbers, please keep using what is the most fun to you-
That said, let's finally get down to it. ⌄Below⌄ you'll find various links to my economy guide, which includes various price and wage lists, as well as discussions on the nature of money and commerce in the world of FFXIV. I hope this is useful to those who are interested in this kind of thing and may want to include it in their RP experience.
Enjoy!
Here are a few quick-reference tables for those who'd rather stay on this page. For more detailed info, additional price lists, and analysis/theorycrafting, please check out the full document from one of the sources above!
